Botulinum Toxin A Treatments
Do you have an anniversary coming up? An important date? A speaking engagement? Want to look your best for that reunion? Or do you simply want to look young and attractive for yourself? No matter the reason or occasion, Botulinum Toxin A can help you achieve this without having to resort to expensive surgical and possibly dangerous procedures. Pride Health Clinic uses proven Botulinum Toxin A treatments to quickly get rid of those crow’s feet and lines on the face and forehead.
As we age, our faces develop fine lines and wrinkles that take away your youthful glow. Some people even develop wrinkles at a much earlier age and look older than they should be. One of the best ways to get rid of wrinkles and bring back that youthful glow without expensive surgery is through Botulinum Toxin A. Pride Health Clinic offers Botulinum Toxin A injections which are a safe and effective means to help improve your skin’s appearance and make you look beautifully radiant no matter what the occasion.
Treatments are recommended every 3 months for the first year. After using Botulinum Toxin A for some time, treatments can be delayed to every 4-6 months. FDA approved dosages for Botox® "The Look of 3" (crow's feet, frown, and forehead) are recommended every 4 months for the first year.

In order to minimize the risk of possible side effect and complications, please follow these steps:
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Do NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising)
Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible for a period of 2 weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event which you may be attending, such as a wedding or a vacation. Results from the Dermal Filler and Botulinum Toxin A injections will take approximately 4 to 14 days to appear. Also bruising and swelling may be apparent in that time period.
Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and 2 days after treatment.
Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal creams in the area(s) to be treated.
Take Tylenol® (if not contraindicated) 1 hour prior to your appointment to help with any discomfort you may have, if you have concerns about discomfort.
If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you inform the doctor that you have made your appointment with, one week prior to your appointment; this will allow us adequate time to prescribe a medication to prevent an outbreak.
Sunburn skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun.
Come to your appointment with a clean face. **This means NO MAKEUP or MOISTURIZER**
Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish on the area.
Be sure to have a good meal, including food and drink before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of becoming lightheaded during your treatment.
You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
